New buyers get 10% off their first bulk order with us. We call it Try Nepal. It is for brands and importers who have never made garments in Nepal and want to test it on a real order, not a promise. Custom samples are free, the minimum is 200 pieces per colour, and the 10% comes off your first bulk invoice.

What is the Try Nepal offer?

  • 10% off the first bulk order of a new buyer company.
  • From our minimum order: 200 pieces per style and colour, 1,000 pieces per order. You can split the 1,000 across styles, colours and sizes.
  • One per company. It is not combined with other discounts.
  • Free samples and the courier credit still apply (see step 3).
  • No deadline. If we ever set an end date, we will show it here and keep to it.

The 10% appears as its own line on your quote, so you can see exactly what you save.

Why try Nepal for knit basics?

Duty. Garments cut and sewn in Nepal enter the EU, UK, Canada and Japan at 0% import duty while Nepal is a least developed country, even when the fabric is imported. Knitwear from most other countries pays around 12% into the EU and UK. Indian buyers can import duty-free under the Nepal–India Treaty of Trade, subject to its rules of origin.

Nepal’s graduation from least-developed-country status is scheduled for 24 November 2026, and the EU, UK and Canada keep the preference for a transition period after it. Our duty-status page tracks the current position. The United States is not duty-free.

Small minimums. 200 pieces per style and colour is low for a factory, so you can test a new style without a container-sized bet.

Proof you can check. Our EU REX number, NPREX1244417670168NPTEPC, opens on the European Commission’s database with one click from our REX page. You can visit the factory in Gaindakot, or ask for a live video walk of your goods on the line.

How does a first order work?

  1. Send what you have. A tech pack, a photo or a sketch, with your target quantity. Mention Try Nepal. We usually reply within 24 hours, Nepal time.
  2. Get a quote. You get the price per piece, fabric options and lead time, with the 10% shown as a line. We source fabric to your spec from established mills, and you choose: our regular mills, OEKO-TEX-certified fabric, or a mill you nominate. We confirm the mill and its country before you order.
  3. Free samples. Custom samples are free for up to 3 styles: one corrected round per style, plus the pre-production sample. You pay the express courier, and we credit it against your first bulk order. Samples take 7–14 days after we review your tech pack, and courier to Europe or North America usually takes 3–7 days.
  4. Approve in writing. The approved pre-production sample becomes the standard we keep on file. Nothing is cut for bulk before you approve.
  5. Deposit. A first order starts with a 50% deposit by bank transfer (30% on repeat orders). Letters of Credit at sight are welcome above about US$20,000. We never ask for 100% upfront.
  6. Bulk production. Bulk is dispatched 25–30 days after sample approval, with in-line checks, QR bundle tracking and a final AQL 2.5 inspection. Your own third-party inspector is welcome.
  7. Balance and shipping. For sea shipments, you pay the balance against a copy of the Bill of Lading, and we keep the original until it is paid. For EXW and air orders, you pay after final inspection, before collection. Sea freight via Kolkata takes roughly 6–8 weeks to Europe. We prepare the origin papers your market needs, including the EU statement on origin with our REX number.

Plan on about three to four months from first message to delivery in Europe. Reorders are faster, because your patterns, colours and approved sample are already on file.

Do my designs stay mine?

Yes. Your designs, patterns and labels stay yours. We never make them for anyone else, sell extra pieces or post them without your written permission, and we sign a mutual NDA on request.

Can I feel the quality before I send a design?

Yes. Our sample kit costs US$79 including express courier, and the full amount is credited against your first bulk order. It has three finished garments, a fabric and GSM swatch card, a colour card and label samples.

Frequently asked

Who can use the Try Nepal offer?
Any buyer company placing its first bulk order with us: brands, importers, wholesalers and uniform buyers, in any country, including India. It applies once per company, from our minimum order of 200 pieces per style and colour and 1,000 pieces per order.
Can I combine the 10% with free samples and the sample kit?
Yes. Free custom samples and the courier credit still apply, and so does the US$79 sample-kit credit. The 10% is not combined with other discounts.
Is there a deadline?
No. The offer has no end date today. If we ever set one, we will show it on this page and keep to it.
How do I claim it?
Send us your tech pack, a photo or an idea and mention Try Nepal. If you are a new buyer, the 10% appears as its own line on your quote.
Is Nepal duty-free into the United States?
No. The US preference programme for Nepal ended on 31 December 2025, so US imports pay the normal rates. The 0% duty applies to markets such as the EU, UK, Canada and Japan while Nepal is a least developed country.
