Sustainability & ethics

Made responsibly, told honestly

We believe how a garment is made matters as much as the garment itself. We’re a young factory building responsibly from the ground up — and we’d rather tell you plainly what’s true today than claim badges we haven’t earned.

Factory facts 2026

Numbers, not adjectives

Owner-stated, checkable on a visit or a video call. Updated when the facts change.

Electricity
Monthly electricity bills run NPR 50,000–90,000 — roughly 4,000–8,000 kWh, or about 0.15–0.3 kWh per garment at full production — from Nepal’s predominantly hydro-electric grid.
Wages
Every member of the team is paid above Nepal’s statutory minimum wage, on time, every cycle.
Cutting waste
Cutting-room offcuts are collected every day and go to a local textile recycler.
Water
No process water — we cut and sew; the only water on site is for people. Dyeing happens upstream at fabric mills, where OEKO-TEX-certified fabric is available on request.
People
80–90% women month to month (we publish 80% as the floor), all local and permanent — including two deaf operators running the same machines to the same standard as everyone else.

People

  • 80% of our team are women — meaningful, skilled employment in Gaindakot.
  • We hire and train on ability. Our sewing line includes two deaf operators, running the same machines to the same standard as everyone else.
  • Fair wages, paid on time, with safe working conditions.
  • A strict no-child-labor policy — always.
  • Local employment that keeps skills and income in the community.

Planet

  • Made on Nepal’s grid, which is predominantly hydro-electric renewable power.
  • In-house Optitex CAD marking optimises fabric use and reduces offcut waste.
  • Fabric offcuts and trims: ask us what happens to them on your order — we answer that question specifically, not with an adjective.

Product

  • Quality knit basics built to last — durability is its own kind of sustainability.
  • Honest specs and a top-notch finish on what we specialise in.
  • Made to your spec, so you order what you’ll actually sell.

Process

  • Sample-approved before bulk — fewer errors, less waste.
  • Transparent communication at every stage of your order.
  • Compliance-ready and building toward formal social & quality audits.

We don’t yet hold third-party certifications like BSCI or Sedex — we say so plainly, and they’re on our roadmap. We welcome your audit and an open-door visit any time.
