Common questions
- Is it duty-free into my market?
- Into the EU, UK and Japan, knit garments cut and sewn in Nepal enter at 0% while Nepal is a least-developed country — with our REX statement on origin on your invoice for the EU and UK, and a GSP Form A certificate for Japan. We confirm the rule for your exact HS line and market before you order.
- Are kids’ clothes classified as babies’ garments (HS 6111)?
- Only for very young children: in the Harmonized System, babies’ garments are articles for children with a body height of no more than 86 cm. For our 2–14 year range, tees usually fall under 6109 and shorts under 6103 (boys’) or 6104 (girls’). A tee-and-shorts set is not an “ensemble”, because articles of 6109 are excluded from ensembles, so each piece is declared under its own heading.
- What safety rules apply to children’s clothing?
- It depends on the market: cords and drawstrings, small parts, chemical limits and, in the US, CPSIA testing. Tell us where you sell and we build the sample to that standard. Our guide to children’s clothing safety standards explains each rule.
